Last October I was preparing to begin a new season as a high school basketball official, attending meetings and clinics, and I ran into Jared. I noticed he had trimmed up and looked extremely healthy. I asked him what he was doing to look so good. Hell, he even looked younger. He introduced me to the Victory Over Self program. I have always thought of myself as physically fit, my life style revolves around physical activities. No matter how much or what I ate, I have always stayed between 220 and 230 lbs. Jared sat me down and asked me what I wanted to achieve in life. He handed me a 3x5 card and wanted me to list some goals, short and long term. As shallow minded as I am, I couldn't think of anything right off so I asked him if I could think about it for a few days. After pondering about it for a few days I came up with some personal goals. I've been a little self conscious pool-side with my shirt off. Recently divorced, my motivation had been very low and I also wanted to finish my teaching degree. When I started, I weighed 224 lbs with 18.5% body fat. My 12 week goal was to reach 12% body fat. The nutrition plan that Jared implemented was something I had never considered. I ate more than I had ever eaten in the course of a day and he altered my workout program to accommodate my nutrition plan. Needless to say, I exceeded my original goals in 4 weeks. I had reached 10.2% body fat. At eight weeks I was enrolled in school and I felt better than ever. At 11 weeks I had lost 21 lbs of fat, 10 lbs of scale weight, gained 9 lbs of muscle and was at 8.2% body fat. Jared's knowledge of nutrition incorporated with his exercise routine is impeccably brilliant. He is truly interested in helping others benefit from his knowledge and is genuinely interested to see you succeed. He's always accessible! My life has come full turn and I owe it all to Jared and the Victory Over Self program.
